Influence of Maturity Stages on Physicochemical Properties and Shelf-Life of Different Varieties of Mangoes under Ambient Storage Conditions

The present investigation was carried out in the laboratory of Department Horticulture and Agro-Preocessing, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur from May 2021 to July with three mango varieties viz. Langra, Amropali Ashwina were harvested at different maturity stages observe their storability under ambient conditions. experiment set up following a completely randomized design replications. Results revealed that studied had significant differences physical characteristics such as fruit weight chemical properties like total soluble solids, sugar, reducing sugar. Only pH changes varietal non-significant this regard. In case variety 12 days after storage, solid content ranged 17.54 20.04%. Total sugar decreased but increased storage day stage. Change vitamin-C stage II III 4, 8, no among them. highest dry matter (19.72%) found on Amrapali (19.08%); other hand, (19.08%) value respect.
